Rwanda’s horticulture exports up 27% to give economy $54mn boost

KIGALI, RWANDA – Rwanda’s horticulture exports rose 27% to $54 million in 2024/25, driven by higher output, rising investor interest and expanded government support.

The National Agricultural Exports Development Board (NAEB) said export volumes reached 69,300 tonnes, up from 61,000 tonnes the previous year. Horticulture, though still behind coffee and tea in scale, continues to emerge as one of Rwanda’s strongest non-traditional export earners.
