Lusaka, Zambia – Zambia is turning to China for assistance in tackling its ongoing power crisis and reviving the Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA) during President Hakainde Hichilema’s five-day visit to the Asian economic giant. With about 600 Chinese businesses already operating in Zambia and investments totalling around $3.76 billion, according to the Zambia Development Agency, the visit aims to strengthen economic ties and attract further Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
