ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – Ethiopia and the United Kingdom have signed agreements to strengthen economic governance and unlock private investment in power transmission as Addis Ababa seeks to stabilise reforms and position itself as a regional electricity hub.
The package centres on a second phase of the Ethiopia Investment Advisory Facility, offering up to £17.5m ($22m) in UK-funded technical assistance over four years to improve public investment and asset management.
