Morocco inflation stays negative in February as weak demand persists

RABAT, MOROCCOMorocco’s annual inflation remained in negative territory in February, even as prices rose month-on-month, signalling weak demand and subdued price pressures.

Data released by the High Commission for Planning (HCP) showed annual inflation fell to -0.6% in February, following -0.8% in January, extending a run of sub-zero readings largely driven by falling food prices.
