Ghana to Make GH¢7.52 Billion Coupon Payment Under Domestic Debt Exchange Programme

  • Third consecutive coupon disbursement expected to boost market liquidity
  • GH¢4.28 billion in cash and GH¢3.24 billion in bonds to be issued

Accra, Ghana – The government of Ghana is set to disburse GH¢7.52 billion ($479m) as part of its Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. This payment marks the third consecutive coupon disbursement since the introduction of the new bonds, and it is expected to inject much needed liquidity into the market.
