LAGOS, NIGERIAChina–Nigeria bilateral trade climbed to $22.3 billion between January and October 2025, highlighting the growing scale of one of Africa’s most consequential economic partnerships.

The figure represents a 30.2 percent year-on-year increase, according to China’s Consul General in Lagos, Ms. Yan Yuqing, who disclosed the data at the Lagos Forum New Year Media Symposium while outlining priorities for cooperation in 2026.
