Zambia, DRC Seek Solutions to Ease Kasumbalesa Border Congestion

Lusaka, Zambia – Zambian and Congolese officials have pledged to tackle the severe congestion at Kasumbalesa, a critical border post connecting Zambia to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). On January 10, 2025, more than 1,500 trucks destined for the DRC were stranded due to delays caused by a new electronic seals clearance system implemented by Congolese authorities.
