- Nigeria set to overtake Algeria as Uganda’s top dairy buyer
- Deal targets Europe’s dominance of Nigeria’s milk imports
KAMPALA, UGANDA – Uganda will begin exporting 200,000 tonnes of powdered milk to Nigeria this month in a deal worth $1.02 billion at factory prices.

The annual 200,000-tonne supply, valued at more than Shs3.7 trillion ($1.02 billion), makes Nigeria Uganda’s largest single dairy buyer—far ahead of previous lead market Algeria.
