  • Proposed bill seeks to clarify the scope of the 2024 amnesty law

Dakar, Senegal – Senegal’s National Assembly is set to debate a controversial bill that seeks to interpret the amnesty law passed in March 2024. Majority MP Amadou Ba of the PASTEF party submitted the proposal, which has received a favourable opinion from President Bassirou. A technical committee meeting is scheduled for March 21, followed by a plenary session on April 2.
