Nairobi, Kenya – Operations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), East Africa’s busiest airport, are at risk of disruption due to a strike threatened by the Kenya Aviation Workers Union, set to begin on August 19. The union is protesting an investment proposal from Adani Airport Holdings, a subsidiary of India’s Adani Group, which seeks a long-term concession to expand and operate the airport.
