- Adds 46 Travelex branches to Mukuru payout network
- Signals growing investor confidence in regulated fintech models
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Mukuru has partnered with foreign exchange firm Travelex to expand cash payout options for remittance customers, widening access to funds across South Africa’s major cities and transport hubs.
The agreement makes Travelex an additional payout channel within Mukuru’s national network, allowing customers to collect remittances at any of Travelex’s 46 branches nationwide. The locations are typically in high-traffic areas, including shopping centres and travel nodes, reducing travel time and congestion for recipients who depend on remittances for daily expenses.
