IMF Revises Senegal’s 2024 Growth
  • Senegal’s economic growth projection for 2024 lowered from 7.1% to 6% by the IMF
  • Hydrocarbon production gains momentum, but other sectors lag behind

Dakar, Senegal – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised its 2024 growth forecast for Senegal downwards to 6%, from an initial projection of 7.1% released in June. The institution cited slower-than-expected economic growth in the first half of the year, which is likely to persist through the remainder of 2024.
