Ghana settles with local bond holders

  • Ghana has completed payments to local individual bondholders and continues paying institutional holders as part of its domestic debt restructuring.
  • Ongoing debt negotiations with bilateral and external creditors aim to stabilise the economy and meet IMF conditions.

 

The Government of Ghana has paid all local individual bond holders who opted out of the domestic debt restructuring exercise, with payments for local institutional bondholders ongoing.
