ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – Ethiopia and France signed a landmark debt restructuring and financing package on Tuesday, marking a pivotal step in Addis Ababa’s economic reform drive.

The agreements combine historic bilateral debt treatment with €81.5 million in fresh financial support, deepening ties as Ethiopia presses ahead with sweeping reforms under its Homegrown Economic Reform (HGER 2.0) programme.
