KIGALI, RWANDA – Rwanda’s inflation rose to an 8 percent annual rate in December, the highest in two years, as food, health and energy costs climbed despite strong economic growth.
Rwanda’s Consumer Price Index (CPI), the main gauge of inflation, increased by 8 percent year on year in December 2025, up from 7.2 percent in November, according to the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR).
