KAMPALA, UGANDA – Uganda has raised its recoverable oil reserves to 1.65 billion barrels, marking a major milestone in the country’s push to join Africa’s top petroleum producers.
The Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) announced the revised estimate during a briefing marking 10 years of regulating the sector. The update reflects an increase from the previous 1.4 billion barrels and signals stronger prospects for Uganda’s long-awaited First Oil.
