LAGOS, NIGERIANigeria’s stock market is set for renewed foreign investor attention after FTSE Russell restored its frontier market status, reversing a 2023 downgrade driven by currency and repatriation constraints.

The reclassification, announced on April 7 and effective from 21 September 2026, marks a significant shift in how global investors may once again engage with Africa’s largest economy.
