DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA – Tanzania’s total debt edged higher in January, reaching $51.08bn, with external liabilities continuing to dominate the country’s financing structure.
According to the Bank of Tanzania’s (BOT) February monthly economic review, the combined public and private debt stock rose slightly from the previous month, reflecting continued reliance on external financing.
