JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – South Africa’s mining sector rebounded sharply in October, led by iron ore output and a surge in platinum-group metal sales, official data showed.
South Africa’s total mining production rose 5.8% year on year in October, while mineral sales climbed 13.3%, according to figures released by Statistics South Africa.
