DAKAR, SENEGALSenegal’s national oil production surged past forecasts in 2025, underscoring the strength of operations at the offshore Sangomar field and bolstering expectations for the country’s energy future.

Consolidated data from the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines show Senegal produced 36.1 million barrels of oil in 2025, comfortably exceeding revised projections and marking a strong second year since the country joined the club of oil-producing nations.
