KIGALI, RWANDA – Rwanda plans to invest up to $6bn in nuclear power plants to secure reliable electricity and support its long-term economic transformation, President Paul Kagame announced Tuesday.
The announcement was made at a global nuclear energy summit in Paris hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, where Kagame urged stronger international financing support for developing countries pursuing nuclear power.
