Rwanda coffee export earnings hit record high as volumes and prices surge

KIGALI, RWANDA – Rwanda’s coffee sector posted a historic performance in 2025, with export revenues climbing to a record high as rising volumes and stronger global prices combined to boost earnings.

Export revenues reached nearly $150 million last year, according to official figures, with export volumes rising 39 per cent year on year while revenues jumped 65 per cent. The strong showing marked the best year on record for Rwanda’s coffee exports in value terms.
