Uganda coffee exports hit $2.4bn, marking strongest decade for sector

KAMPALA, UGANDA – Uganda’s coffee industry has delivered its strongest performance in a decade, with export volumes and revenues surging on higher production, firm global prices and rising demand for premium Arabica beans.

The country exported 8.7 million 60-kilogram bags of coffee worth $2.4 billion in the 12 months to November 2025, up sharply from 5.8 million bags valued at $1.4 billion a year earlier, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF).
