  • Increased rainfall and cooler temperatures improve cocoa crop prospects in West Africa
  • Authorities forecast cocoa exports to drop to 1.7 million tons for the 2023-24 season

 

An increased frequency of rain showers and cooler weather is replacing the record heat that devastated the cocoa crop across West Africa earlier this year, boosting the outlook for the main harvest, according to farmers and traders.
