NAIROBI, KENYA – Pan-African telecommunications provider Paratus Group has activated a 2,000-kilometre fiber-optic corridor linking Kenya’s port city of Mombasa to Goma in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

The protected terrestrial route runs through Nairobi, Kampala and Kigali, directly interconnecting major data centres in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda before reaching eastern Congo. Company officials said the network is already live and carrying traffic for wholesale customers, including telecommunications carriers, internet service providers and enterprise clients operating across the region.
