  • Africa to add 1.2 million bpd of refining capacity by 2030, led by Nigeria
  • OPEC projects $100 billion in refinery investments needed by 2050

 

Africa is on track to deliver one of the world’s fastest downstream expansions by 2030, adding 1.2 million barrels per day (bpd) of refining capacity, according to OPEC’s 2025 World Oil Outlook.
