Nairobi, Kenya – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has urged the Kenyan government to develop new strategies for handling tax defaulters once the tax amnesty—a period allowing for expedited out-of-court settlement of tax disputes—ends in March 2025. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has been given until the end of November 2024 to draft a framework for review by the IMF, as disclosed in documents seen by Allen Dreyfus.
