ACCRA, GHANA – Ghana has repaid a $709 million Eurobond ahead of schedule, signalling renewed confidence in its debt-restructuring programme and broader economic recovery.
The payment, made on December 30, 2025, was confirmed by Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson in a New Year’s Eve statement, marking one of the largest single external debt-service transactions since Ghana’s 2022 default.
