Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Ethiopian Airlines, a member of the Star Alliance, has announced the suspension of its flights to Asmara, Eritrea’s capital, effective Tuesday. The airline cited “very difficult operating conditions” in Eritrea as the reason for the suspension, which is expected to significantly disrupt regional connectivity, affecting trade, tourism, and business travel between the two neighbouring countries.
