Yaoundé, Cameroon – Central African leaders have called for significant local investment to combat high costs of living and widespread poverty in the six-member Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC). Meeting in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on Monday, they highlighted the devastating impact of armed conflicts, terrorism, climate shocks, and weak political integration on regional development.
