Ghana to Announce New Cocoa Price for 2024/25 Season on September 11

Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has confirmed that the new cocoa price for the 2024/25 crop season will be announced on September 11, 2024. Joseph Boahen Aidoo, COCOBOD’s CEO, disclosed the date during a meeting with cocoa farmer associations from 70 cocoa-growing districts across the country. Industry expectations suggest a potential price increase of nearly 45%, aimed at enhancing farmer incomes and reducing the smuggling of cocoa beans to neighbouring countries.
