DAKAR, SENEGALSenegal is pivoting from offshore oil success to a $100 million onshore exploration programme aimed at deepening energy sovereignty and reshaping its long-term industrial strategy.

As the country prepares to celebrate its first offshore oil production, national oil company Petrosen is accelerating plans to explore untapped onshore reserves. Management has approved a large-scale exploration programme, budgeted at $100 million and scheduled to launch this year.
