DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA — Tanzania’s annual inflation rate eased to 3.3% in January, driven by slower increases in staple food prices and moderating core inflation.
The decline from 3.6% in December marked the lowest level since May 2025, when inflation stood at 3.2%, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in its latest consumer price index report released Monday.
