Barrick Mining Corporation’s African operations saw gold production plunge 43% in 2025, underscoring mounting cost pressures and operational risks despite record global prices.
The company’s Africa and Middle East division recorded output of 840,000 ounces in 2025, down from 1.47 million ounces in 2024. Fourth-quarter production fell to 204,000 ounces from 409,000 ounces a year earlier.
