LUSAKA, ZAMBIAZambia and Norway have signed a carbon-finance pact to deliver 300 megawatts of renewable power while cutting emissions by 3.5mn tonnes over a decade.

Zambia and Norway have concluded a Mitigation Outcome Purchase Agreement (MOPA) under the Carbon Feed-in Premium (CFIP) programme, anchoring one of Africa’s most concrete uses of international carbon markets to crowd in private clean-energy investment.
