KAMPALA, UGANDA – Starlink has disabled all its satellite internet terminals in Uganda following regulatory concerns, intensifying debate over digital access and state control ahead of elections.
Starlink said it activated a new service restriction tool for Uganda on Jan. 1, effectively disabling all Starlink terminals in the country, adding that there are now no active Starlink connections operating nationwide.
