LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Zambia’s annual inflation fell to a five-year low in January, easing to single digits as improved harvests and a firmer currency helped cool food and non-food prices.

Zambia recorded an annual inflation rate of 9.4% in January, down from 11.2% in December 2025, the lowest level in more than five years, official data showed on Wednesday.
