WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA – Namibia has rejected Starlink’s application to operate, citing ownership, security and compliance concerns despite the company meeting key technical requirements.
The decision, announced Tuesday by Information and Communications Technology Minister Emma Theofilus, marks a significant setback for Elon Musk’s satellite internet provider in southern Africa’s tightly regulated telecoms markets.
