WAEMU Growth Seen at 6.5% in Q2 2025, But Construction Sector Drag Deepens

Cotonou, Benin – Economic growth in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) is projected to reach 6.5% in the second quarter of 2025, fuelled by robust food crop production and continued expansion in non-market services, according to new estimates from the regional central bank, BCEAO.
