UAE and Congo-Brazzaville Finalise CEPA Terms to Boost Bilateral Trade

  • The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville have finalised a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), aiming to boost trade and investment flows between the two nations.
  • This agreement builds on the strong bilateral cooperation that saw a 134% increase in non-oil trade to $2.1 billion in the first half of 2023, enhancing Congo-Brazzaville’s position as a key trading partner for the UAE in non-Arab Africa.

 

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the Republic of Congo, known as Congo-Brazzaville, today. This agreement, aimed at enhancing trade and investment flows between the two nations, marks the second CEPA with an African state announced by the UAE within a week.
