Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Tanzanian police arrested dozens of people on Monday, including Chadema party chairman Freeman Mbowe and his deputy Tundu Lissu, in connection with planned opposition protests in the capital. The two key opposition leaders were reportedly released on bail later in the day, though police have yet to specify the charges they face.
