Tanzania inflation steady at 3.2% as core pressures ease

Tanzania’s headline inflation held steady at 3.2% in May, underscoring continued price stability and reducing immediate pressure on the Bank of Tanzania to tighten monetary policy. The latest reading remains well below the central bank’s 5% medium-term ceiling, according to data released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics.
