Namibia July inflation slowdown fuels rate cut bets

  • Annual inflation eased to 3.5% in July, its lowest in over a year
  • Analysts see Bank of Namibia cutting repo rate to 6.50% next week

 

WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA – Namibia’s annual inflation rate eased to 3.5% in July, down from 4.6% in the same month last year, the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) said Thursday.
