  • GDP growth eases to 1.9% amid weaker tertiary sector expansion
  • Agriculture and mining drag, despite stronger electricity output

WINDHOEK, NAMIBIANamibia’s economy grew by 1.9% in the third quarter of 2025, slowing from 2.1% in the same period last year, official data showed Thursday.

According to the Third Quarter GDP report released by the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA), the deceleration reflects weaker momentum in key service sectors and a continued contraction in primary industries, even as electricity and water output rebounded strongly.
