  • Inflation eases, cedi strengthens on gold and cocoa exports

 

ACCRA, GHANAGhana has secured an immediate $385 million disbursement from the International Monetary Fund after its reform programme helped stabilise growth, inflation and the cedi.

The IMF Executive Board on Wednesday completed the fifth review of Ghana’s $3 billion, 39-month Extended Credit Facility, approved in May 2023, unlocking the fresh funds and bringing total disbursements to about $2.8 billion.
