Accra, Ghana – Ghana’s inflation surged to 23.8% in December 2024, up from 23% in November, marking its highest level since mid-2024, according to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS). The steep rise deviates sharply from the central bank’s and Ministry of Finance’s earlier projection of 15% ±2, highlighting mounting inflationary pressures.
