LIBREVILLE, GABONGabon’s first privately operated oil field has begun production, marking a historic shift in the country’s upstream energy sector toward indigenous participation.

In late November 2025, Komo Ressources Group (KOREG), a private national oil company, officially brought the Autour field online and reported first oil production — the first time a privately owned Gabonese firm has achieved this milestone.
