Gabon to Launch Central Africa’s Largest Solar Energy Plant in October

Libreville, Gabon – Gabon is set to launch Central Africa’s largest solar energy plant in October 2024, further solidifying its commitment to renewable energy. The Ayémé Plaine project, a photovoltaic solar power plant located near the capital, Libreville, began construction in August 2022. Initially slated for completion in July 2023, the project faced delays but is now just weeks away from completion.
