ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – Ethiopia’s largest gold facility, the Kurmuk Gold Factory in Benishangul-Gumuz, will begin production at half capacity in 2026, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said, with annual output projected at $1 billion.
