CASABLANCA, MOROCCO – A Casablanca startup is attempting to bring transparency to Morocco’s largely informal used-car market, using machine learning to replace instinct-driven pricing with data.

Idriss Chefchaouni did not initially set out to transform how Moroccans buy and sell cars. His early focus was far narrower: pre-purchase inspections, a service designed to help buyers assess a vehicle’s physical condition before committing.
